Sarah Lassiter Freeman

Sarah Lassiter Freeman, 77, of NC Hwy 109 North, Troy, died Saturday, September 14, 2024 at FirstHealth Hospice and Palliative Care in West End.  Funeral Service will be 3:00 PM Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Jeanette Parsons officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 PM prior to the service on Thursday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home.

Born in Montgomery County on February 14, 1947, she was the daughter of Dewey and Villie Kellis Lassiter.  She was a retired knitter.  Mrs. Freeman was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Annette Cassidy, 2 brothers, Dan “Danny Boy” Lassiter and Ricky Lassiter.

Mrs. Freeman is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Darrell Freeman of the home; 3 sons, Timothy Lee Freeman of the home, William Darrell Freeman, Jr. of Troy, and Robert Wayne Freeman of Troy; brother, Phillip Lassiter of Troy; 2 sisters, Judy Smith of Wilmington and Debbie Lassiter of Troy; 17 Grandchildren; 12 Great-grandchildren.

Briggs-Candor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
