Mrs. Sarah Freeman Fowler, age 70 of Mountain Vista Health Park, Denton and formerly of Wilmington St., Hamlet died Saturday, January 24 at Mountain Vista . A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM Monday, January 26 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Denton conducted by Rev. Charlie Collins. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Fowler was born May 30, 1938 in Cabarrus County to Lonnie Freeman and Nora Mae Dry Freeman. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church of Hamlet. She enjoyed playing the piano and reading the Bible. She is survived by sons, Jay Fowler and wife Kathy of Denton; Eddie Fowler and wife Rhonda of Archdale; Benny Hildreth of High Point; a daughter Teresa Hildreth and husband Bill Rittermeyer of Thomasville; a brother Frank Freeman of High Point and sisters, Sadie Greene of Elm City, Margaret Heaton and Verdie Benoist both of Rockingham. 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
