Mrs. Sara Simmons Greene, 80 of Stewart St., Biscoe. Died Saturday, September 16 at Autumn Care of Biscoe Graveside service will Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Biscoe Town Cemetery with Rev. Bruce Dickerson officating. Mrs. Greene was born July 19, 1926 in Guilford County to William Simmons and Bertie Mae Bowman Simmons. She was a member of Center Baptist Church. She worked in textiles most recently with Troy Drapery. Survivors include her husband Lester Greene of Biscoe, Daughter Brenda Jones and husband Larry of Charlotte, son Jay Greene and wife Sandra of Liberty, son in law Sam Edwards of Troy, 2 grandchildren Matthew and Heather Edwards, Sisters Betty Simmons of Candor and Nancy McCormick of Ellerbe, brothers Hassel Simmons of Ohio, and Bobby, Foy, Skippy, and Carlo Simmons all of Candor. The family will see friends Monday from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home in Candor and other times at the residence on Stewart St. in Biscoe.
