Sandy Lee Morgan, 68, of Landfill Rd., Mt. Gilead, died Monday, June 6, 2016 at the residence of his sister. Funeral Services will be held at a later date. Born in Montgomery County on September 22, 1947, he was the son of Polly Morgan Freeman. He was a veteran of the US Army and a logger. He is survived by a son, Billy Joe Wooten; 4 daughters, Lynn Greer, Shelly Mabe, Lena Morse and Angie Talbert; brother, William John Morgan of Biscoe; 4 sisters, Frances Morgan Loftin of Mt. Gilead, Mary Lena Morgan Hammill of Monroe, Janet Marie Morgan of West End and Betty Jo Morgan Theiss of Boiling Springs SC; a number of grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
