Mrs. Ruthie Jane Hill Yow age 78, of Lanier Hill Rd., Denton died Friday, September 19 at Randolph Hospital. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday September 22 at New Hope United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Joe Conley. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Yow was born September 5, 1936 in Randolph County to Valon Carr Hill and Dellie Mae Russell Hill. She retired from Klaussner Furniture Industries. She was preceded in death by sons; David Luther and Martin Luther; and by a brother, Walter Hill. Surviving is, husband, Robert Yow of the home; sons, Roger Luther and Jonathan Flynt both of Denton; daughter, Darlene Luther Morris of Atlanta, GA,; brothers, Ben Hill of SC, Hoyle Hill, Barney Hill, and Johnny Hill all of Denton; sisters, Rachel Hill Brinkley of Asheboro and Wilo Dene Powell of Denton; 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on Lanier Hill Rd. .
