Ruth Johnson

Mrs. Ruth Sexton Johnson, age 94 of Farmer Road, Denton, NC died Thursday, October 26. Mrs. Johnson was born September 20, 1912 in Davidson County to G. B. Sexton and Victoria Varner Sexton. She was a homemaker and the oldest member of Central United Methodist Church. She was married to R. Glenn Johnson who died Jan 5, 1991. She is survived by a daughter Glenda J. Futrell and husband Dale, a grandaughter Tanya F. Gallimore and husband Kerry and a great grandson, Fletcher Glenn Gallimore. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at Central United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. The family will see friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Saturday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the daughter's residence on Farmer Road.
