Ruth Daniel

Ruth Yates Daniel, 84, of Daniel Road, died Sunday, Aug. 20, 2006, at Mountain Vista Health Park. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel by the Rev. Mike Motley. Burial will follow in Summerville Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Daniel was born Dec. 22, 1921, in Davidson County to Tom Yates and Dora Garner Yates. She was a homemaker and a member of Summerville Baptist Church. She was married to Woodrow W. Daniel, who preceded her in death. Surviving are two sons, Dale Daniel and his wife, Ann, and Steve Daniel and his wife, Donna, all of Denton; three grandchildren, Mandy Adams, Kelly Daniel and Cassie Buie; and three great-grandchildren, Dylon Daniel, Payton Buie and Tyler Daniel. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home in Denton and other times at the residence of Dale Daniel, 400 Daniel Road.
