Ruth Beck

Mrs. Ruth Swing Beck age 85, of Cid Rd., Lexington, died Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Piedmont Crossing Nursing Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 26 at Cid United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Sandy Young. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will see friends from 12:30 until 1:30 pm Saturday at Cid United Methodist Church. Mrs. Beck was born January 27, 1930 in Davidson County to Hayes Swing and Sadie Lambeth Swing. She was a member of Cid United Methodist Church and a retired employee of Erlanger Mills and a homemaker. She was married to Clyde Thomas Beck who died in 1999. Mrs. Beck is survived by daughters Susan Watson and Brenda Ward both of Welcome, Carolyn Harris of Thomasville Cecilia Beck, Diane Hindahl and Dawn Prevette and husband Dale all of Lexington, and Cathy Barringer and husband Lamar of Norwood; a son Michael Beck and wife Darlene of Lexington; brothers Kenneth (Butch) Swing and Don Swing both of Lexington; 12 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
