Ruby Carrick Hulin

Ruby Mae Davis Carrick Hulin, 88, of Martin Farm Rd., Denton, NC passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Piedmont Crossing in Thomasville.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Mountain View Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Tim Miller. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Ruby was born on March 21, 1935, in Davidson County to Ruffin Davis and Julia Tysinger Davis. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church and for many years had been a hairdresser. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Hollis Carrick; her second husband, Dolton Hulin; sisters, Kate Moore, and Betty Sue Pierce.

She is survived by son, Glenn Hollis Carrick of Denton; daughter, Wanda Renee Gallimore of Denton; granddaughter, Amanda Carrick; 2 great-grandchildren, Ariel Carrick, and Ayden Carrick; sisters, Shelvia Whitley, Ruth Ann Pope, and Phylis Weaver.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton.

In lieu of  flowers the family ask that memorials be made to Mountain View Baptist Church or Alzheimer’s Association.
