Roy Alvin Cagle

Roy Alvin Cagle, 86, of Asheboro, NC passed away on Monday, October 26, 2026, at Asheboro Health and Rehabilitation. Born on May 22, 1940, in Montgomery County, the son of the late Claudie Morris Cagle and the late Minerva Cooper Cagle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Willis Cagle; 2 brothers, and 7 sisters.

Roy was a member of Gravel Hill Baptist Church and had been a truck driver even owing his own trucking company, Cagle Trucking.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, Oct. 30, at Gravel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 on Friday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton.

He is survived by daughters, Terry Cagle and Catherine Hardison; 4 grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
