Rose Grubb

Mrs. Rose Bohlinger Grubb, age 85 of Grubb Drive, Denton, NC died Saturday, February 18 at Hinkle Hospice House. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, February 22 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in the Salisbury National Cemetery. The family will see friends from 10-:30 to 12:00 Noon Wednesday at Briggs Funeral Home and other times will be at their respective homes. Mrs. Grubb was born in Duchess County, New York on November 21, 1926 to Ellsworth Bay Bohlinger and Martha Luesing Bohlinger. She was a retired employee of Burlington Industries, Denton Plant and was of Holiness Faith. She was married to Joseph Franklin (Joe) Grubb who she met while he was serving in the U S Army. Mr. Grubb died March 20, 1999. She was also preceded in death by a son, Joseph Franklin Grubb, Jr. and a granddaughter Suzanne Bingham. She is survived by sons, Frankie Grubb of Thomasville, Johnnie Grubb and Danny Grubb both of Denton; daughters, Barbara McDowell of Lexington, Martha Bost and Phyllis Grubb both of Denton; a brother Joe Bohlinger of Poughkeepsie, NY; sisters, Dorothy Buckner, Elizabeth (Peg) Finn and Helen Osterhoudt all of Poughkeepsie, NY; 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. .
