Rosa Thompson

Rosa Helen Britt Thompson, 82, of 440 Farmers Market Road, Biscoe, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Mrs. Thompson was born November 2,1929 in Moore County, a daughter of the late James Lonnie “Bud” and Ada Britt Britt. She was a member of Macedonia Presbyterian Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, W.P. “Son” Britt, Bertha Smith, Charles Britt, Martha Almond, James “Pete” Britt, Sam Britt and Joe Britt. Surviving are her husband of 62 years, William H. “Buck” Thompson of the home; son, Bruce Thompson and wife Linda of Jackson Springs; grandchildren, Brad Thompson and wife Melody of Raleigh, Brooke Thompson Petty and husband Adam of Atlanta, GA, Bridget Thompson of Boone; and great grandchildren, Bethany and Caitlyn Thompson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday in the Briggs Candor Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Matthew Baker and Rev. Bill Turnmire officiating. Interment will follow in Candor Town Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Friday at Briggs Candor Funeral Home and at other times at the home on Farmers Market Road.
