Rosa Shaw

Ms. Rosa Carlton Shaw age 71, of Cornerstone Rd. Lexington, passed away on January 10, 2017 at her residence. A memorial service will be held 4:00 pm on Friday, Jan. 13 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Melvin Morton officiating. Rosa was born on December 19, 1945 in Randolph County to Edward Eugene Carlton and Annie Adell Carlton. She had worked in the textile industry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jessie Shaw and by a grandson Robert Shaw. Surviving are son, Worth Frank Shaw and wife Melody of Denton; daughter, Vickie Triplette and husband Chris of Lexington; 2 grandchildren Jessica Shaw and Christopher Triplette and wife Melissa; 2 great grandchildren, Cameron Shaw and Thomas Bailey; brother, James Carlton of Thomasville; sister, Nora Owens of SC, Mary Jones, and Barbara Love both of Thomasville. The family will receive friends on Friday from 3:00 to 4:00 pm Friday prior to the service at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on Cornerstone Rd. in Lexington.
