Rosa Lee Atkins Tysinger, aged 84, of Lexington, NC, passed away peacefully at her residence on August 16, 2025. Born on July 27, 1941, in Montgomery County, she was the beloved daughter of J.J. Tucker and Juanita Hardister Atkins. Rosa dedicated her career to Kaby Mills in Thomasville, where she worked as a seamstress. A woman of strong faith, she was a devoted member of the Baptist community, attending Floyd Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Bobby Ray Tysinger, and her parents. Rosa leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her son, Billy Tysinger of Denton, and her daughters, Bobbie T. Hamby and husband Jimmy of Linwood, and Penny Diehl of Tyro. 7 grandchildren, Merinda Davis, Tanzy Lanier, Shannon Diehl, Richard Morris III, Dustin Diehl, Jozif West, and Kurtis West; 10 great-grandchildren, Hannah Sutton, Jasmine Morris, Brianna Franklin, Trey Bates, McKaila Morris, Kylee Davis, Taytan Bates, Emily Davis, Mason Morris, and Gracie Diehl; and 3 great-greatgrandchildren, Madalyn Sutton, Brooklynn Wright, and Colby Sutton. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 20, at the Owens Family Cemetery, officiated by Rev. David Robinson. Friends and family are invited to gather from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton, and at other times at the home of Richard Morris on Flat Swamp Rd. in Denton. Rosa will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family and her community. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
