Ronda Miller Carroll of Cranford Rd., Denton, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025, at her home surrounded by family. Born on April 22, 1934, in Guilford County, at home to Carson M. Miller and Alta Veigh Lanier Miller.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, February 8, at Lineberry Church officiated by Rev. Claudie Harrison, Rev. Scott Davis and Rev. Daniel Shuskey. Inurnment will follow in Lineberry Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the service at Lineberry Church.
She was a devoted member of Lineberry Church where she had served as financial secretary until a decline in health, she taught Sunday school, was a member of the choir, and was treasurer of the Methodist Women’s group. At the age of 14, Ronda began working at S. H. Kress Dime store in High Point and later went on to work for Eastern Airlines in the reservations office until it relocated to Charlotte, she would go on to work for Colony Craft in Denton and later Burlington Furniture where she began as a clerical assistant before moving up to the Division of Human Resources until Burlington Furniture was sold, then she would go to work for Council Craftsman Furniture in the personnel department until her retirement in 1999. After retiring Ronda found great joy volunteering with Communities in Schools at South Davidson Middle and High School for 13 years. An avid watcher of all sports, but she especially enjoyed watching baseball and attending Hi Toms baseball games when she was younger, and later she enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals and the Atlanta Braves.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by husband, William Donald Carroll, a son, Greg Carroll, a grandson, Remington “Remy” Cox, a brother, Dwight Miller, and a sister, Sarah Dean Miller.
Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Dana M. Carroll (Don Cox) and Donella C. Jarman (Gary); son, Eric Carroll (Jane); 7 grandchildren, Meagan Murphy (Kyle), Collin D. Jarman (Becca), Aubrey Jarman (Andy Hoselton), Avery Carroll, Cameron Carroll, Levi Carroll, and Abbie Carroll; 2 great-grandchildren, Ava Murphy and Lincoln Murphy; brothers, Wayne Miller and James “Jimmy” Miller, and Carson “Mack” Miller (Donna); sister, Lisa Martin; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
