Mr. Ronald Lee “R.L.” Hedrick age 79 of Tysinger Rd., Denton died Monday, September 07, 2015 at his residence. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday at Victory Baptist Church in Lexington conducted by Pastor Jeff Mabe, Pastor Roy Franks, and Pastor Keith Letterman. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on Tysinger Rd. Mr. Hedrick was born March 4, 1936 in Davidson County to Dewey Lee Hedrick and Maude Vernon Frank Hedrick. He was a active member of Victory Baptist Church where he served as head trustee, head usher, assistant secretary/treasurer, and sang in the choir. “R.L.” had worked at Coble Dairy, Link Taylor, Councill Craftsman. He was co-owner of G&H Woodworks and ran R&C Sales in Denton. He was preceded in death by brothers, Bruce, Reece, and Clinton Hedrick. Survivors include, wife Christine Godbolt Hedrick of the home; daughter; Gaye Foster (William) of High Point; step-son, Ricky Dean Barnhill (Joyce) of Denton; step-daughters, Bridgett L. Barnhill Cochman (Michael) of Thomasville and Chrystal G. Barnhill Foster (Roger) of Thomasville; 9 grandchildren, Jennifer Michelle Foster, Brittany Dean Barnhill, Alleaandria Michelle Barnhill, Tristan Dakota Barnhill, Cora Leigh Taylor, James Craig Hill, Brandon Ray Barnhill, Zackery Andrew Cross, and Bryana Lynn Cross; 1 great-grandchild, Coraline Abigail Taylor; and brother, Wayne Hedrick of Archdale.
