Romie Franklin Reynolds

Romie Franklin Reynolds, 90, of NC Hwy 731 East, Candor, died Monday, May 27, 2024 at FirstHealth Hospice and Palliative Care in West End.  Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Sardis UMC, with Rev. Glenn Hancock and Rev. Steve Hall officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Born in Surry County on December 22, 1933, he was the son of Boss and Mary Bet Goins Reynolds.  He was a veteran of the US Marines, serving in the Korean War. He was a retired shipping supervisor with JP Stevens.  Romie was preceded in death by his brothers, George, Merritt, Tom, Lester (Jim), and Bernie Reynolds and his sisters, Lou Goins, Jessie (Libby) Snead, Maude Luck, Forrestine Tickle, and Ethel Covington.

Romie is survived by his wife, Maxine Elizabeth Robinson Reynolds of the home; 2 daughters, Teresa Hall (Steve) of Wilmington and Mitzi Pritchard (Gary) of Biscoe; sister, Lola Hinson of Candor; grandchildren, Corey Pritchard (Leslie), Jayme Pritchard (Lesley), and Kaitlyn Hall; great-grandchildren, Chandler Pritchard, Kenzie Pritchard, and Isabelle Glapion; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Prior to the service Wednesday at the church.
