Roger (Doc) Gordon

Mr. Roger (Doc) Lee Gordon, 57, of Richey Rd. Denton passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 2, at 5:00 pm at Old Fashioned Baptist Church. There will be a gathering of family and friends held from 4:00 to 5:00 pm on Saturday, Sept. 2 at Old Fashioned Baptist Church and other times at the home of his sister Cindy Peacock in Denton. “Doc” was born February 12, 1960 in Davidson County to David Lee Gordon and Pauline Pierce Gordon. He was of the Baptist Faith and worked as a truck driver. Surviving is son, Kenneth Gordon of China Grove; daughter, Amanda Cheatham of Salisbury; sisters, June Gailey of Lexington, Janice Hughes of Asheboro, Cindy Peacock of Denton, and Tara Clontz of Denton; 5 grandchildren, Hayden, Caleb, Payton, Carson, and Brantley.
