Rodger Darrell Lamonds

Rodger Darrell Lamonds, 67, of Candor, died Thursday, August 14, 2025 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.  The family will receive friends at the residence from 2 to 5 PM on Saturday, August 16, 2025.

Born in Montgomery County on July 13, 1958, he was the son of David Edgar and Gladys Freeman Lamonds.  He had worked for the NC Dept of Corrections.  He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Eleanor Stutts and Priscilla Evans, and 4 brothers, Gene, Herbert, James and Warren Lamonds.

Rodger is survived by his wife, Mary Parsons Lamonds of the home; son, Austin Darrell Lamonds of Star; daughter, Katlyn Lamonds Sellers (Heath) of Rockingham; sister, Millie Linville of Candor; 4 brothers, Charles Lamonds (Treva) of Candor,  Hoyle Lamonds (Leola) of Jackson Springs, Richard Lamonds (Jan) of Candor and Johnny Lamonds (Teresa) of Candor; and many cousins, nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
