Jackson Springs-Robert Steele Robert Nathaniel Steele, age 93, of Hwy 73 East, Jackson Springs, died Wednesday, December 05, 2007 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Friday, December 7, 2007 at Marcus United Methodist Church, with Rev. Donald Burns officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. A native of Richmond County, Mr. Steele was born December 6, 1913, the son of Nathaniel and Sarah Catherine Dunn Steele. He was a farmer and a member of Marcus United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Louadgie McDonald Steele of the home; a daughter, Shirley Steele Craven of Norman; a son, Thomas Nathaniel Steele of Jackson Springs; 5 Grandchildren; 9 Great-grandchildren; 2 Step-Great-grandchildren; 1 Great-great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home in Candor and other times at the residence on Hwy 73. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Marcus United Methodist Church, c/o Linda Williams, 141 Research Farm Rd., Candor NC 27229.
