Robert "Bob" Russell

Mr. Robert “Bob” Everett Russell age 63, of Burney Mill Rd., Denton died Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Randolph Hospice House. A graveside service will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, Feb. 28 at New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Harold Hammond and Rev. Joe Conley. Mr. Russell was born August 29, 1952 in Randolph County to Arnold Fielding Russell and Polly Robbins Russell. Bob was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church and a logger. Mr. Russell was preceded in death by his mother Polly R. Russell; brother, Joe Russell; sister Myrtle Elizabeth Miller. Surviving are father, Arnold F. Russell of the home; a number of cousins; and his “boys” Gina Davis, Abby Hulin, and Emma Hulin. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence. In lieu of flowers the family ask memorials be made to Hospice of Randolph County 416 Vision Dr. Asheboro, NC 27203 or to New Hope United Methodist Church.
