Robert Poole

Mr. Robert J. Poole, age 87 of NC State Veterans Home in Salisbury and formerly of Troy died at the Veterans Home Thursday, February 12. A Graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, February 14 at Hickory Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Clay Davis. Mr. Poole was born Aapril 15, 1921 in Montgomery County to David Franklin Poole and Dora Kelly Poole. He had formerly worked at Smitherman Cotton Mill and was a veteran of the U S Army. He was of Pentecostal Holiness faith and was preceded in death by a sister Lena P Hudson. He is survived by a sister, Annie P. Liles of Troy and a brother Lonnie L. Poole, Sr. of Troy. The family will see friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM Saturday at Hickory Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church on Pekin Road. Briggs Funeral Home of Troy is in charge of arrangements.
