Robert Lee Cody

Robert Lee Cody, 67, of Tysinger Rd., Denton, NC passed away on Monday, Dec. 6, 2021, at Thomasville Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM on Saturday, Dec. 11, at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel conducted by Pastor Carl Sutton, music will be provided by Thomas Sayers, Skylar Cody, Brea, and Macie Sayers. Burial will follow at Grubb’s Grove Original Church of God Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence.

Mr. Cody was born December 28, 1953, in Davidson County to Marshall Cody and Ethel Hill Cody. He was a member of Testimonial Baptist Church in Thomasville and was an upholsterer in the furniture industry. In addition to his parents Robert was preceded in death by, brothers, Tommy and Joe Don Cody; sisters, Betty Leonard and Joyce Harrison.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie P. Cody of the home; daughters, Christy Bean (Darin), Jennifer Sayers (Thomas) all of Denton, and Melissa Robinson (Roby) of Lexington; brothers, Ricky Cody (Kathy) and Wayne Cody (Phyllis) all of Denton; sisters, Onie Swaney and Mary Cody both of Denton; grandchildren, Makayla Bean, Ashlyn Bean, Kirstyn Bean, Skylar Cody, Brea Sayers, Macie Sayers, Alexis Myers, and Allie Myers.
