Ricky Barringer

Mr. Ricky Barringer, 55, of Yates Rd., Denton passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018 at his residence.

A funeral service will be held 6:00 pm Thursday, July 19 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tim Cross and Rev. Chad Snider officiating.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence.

Mr. Barringer was born August 7, 1962 in Cabarrus County to Lloyd Edmond Barringer and Ruth Bangle Barringer. Ricky attended Greater Vision Baptist Church and worked as a logger. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed riding horses, saw milling, antique shopping, and was a collector of many things.

In addition to his parents Ricky was preceded in death by brothers, Bobby, Lloyd, John, and Charles Barringer and sister, Janet Barringer.

Ricky is survived by his wife, Donna Pierce Hunt Barringer of the home; son Jonathan Barringer, Sr. (April) of Pisgah and Cody Barringer of Southmont; step-sons, Jerry Hunt (Ellen) of Lexington and Brandon Hunt (Anna) of the home; daughter, Crystal Barringer (Jason Sanders) of Denton; daughter, Justina Hughes of Farmer; sister, Elizabeth Nunley of Alabama; 4 grandchildren, Dylan Vestal, Kaylan Vestal, Adelynn Sanders, and Jonathan Barringer, Jr..
