Rickie Darrell Hardister

Rickie Darrell Hardister, 70, of New Hope Rd., Denton, died Friday, April 10, 2026 at Randolph Health Hospital in Asheboro. Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at Liberty Fellowship Church, with Rev. Jamie Draughn officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Tuesday prior to the service at Liberty Fellowship Church.

Born in Davidson County on October 7, 1955, he was the son of E.D.”Dock” and Beulah Mae Tysinger Hardister. He was a farmer, salesman at Clayton Homes and had worked at Burlington Industries. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Earl Hardister, and two sisters, Brenda Crotts and Evelyn Shaw.

Rickie is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Kepley Hardister of the home; 2 sons, Kevin Hardister (Holly) of Denton and Corey Kepley (Savannah) of Denton; 2 brothers, Elsie Hardister of Denton and Wayne Hardister of Greensboro; 4 grandchildren, Abbigail Hardister, Jackson Hardister, Stephen Hill, and Callie Kepley; and a very special dog, Dixie.
