Richard Hall

August 13, 1941 — July 8, 2022

Richard Earl Hall, 80, of Handy Road Denton died Friday, July 8 at Hospice of Davidson County following a short illness.

He was born on August 13, 1941 in Greensboro, NC. Richard was best known in the community as the owner of Rick’s Restaurant and Hall’s Cleaners, but spent most of his working life as a professional truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Ruby Hall, his sister, Frances Lax and brother, Joel Hall.

Richard was a lifelong member of Lineberry Church.  He served in many offices while attending as a faithful member. He was a former Lion’s Club member, former President of Denton High School Booster Club, and he enjoyed supporting his children’s alma mater as a member of the N.C. State Wolfpack Club.

Richard’s favorite hobby was playing golf with his friends, but also enjoyed time with his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elaine Hanna Hall, his children: Brian Hall (Cindi) of Gainsville, GA, Kelly Pleasants (Steven) of Clayton, NC; grandchildren, Jordan Hall, Michael Hall (Ella), Caroline Hall, Zack Pleasants (Stacy), and Hayley Pleasants; 4 great-grandchildren, nephew and multiple nieces.

We will celebrate Rick’s life on Saturday, August 13 at 11 a.m. at Lineberry Church officiated by Thomas Frizzell.  All are welcome – bring a story to share.
