Reece Gallimore

Mr. Reece C, Gallimore, age 85 of Snider Station road, Denton, NC died Friday, October 19 at his residence. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, October 21 at Tom’s Creek Primitive Baptist Church conducted by Elder James Moody and Elder Donald Johnson. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Mr. Gallimore was born March 7, 1922 in Randolph County to Edmond Gallimore and Lillie Beatrice Dunning Gallimore. He had been a self-employed sawmiller and last worked with Daniel Construction Company. He was a member of Tom’s Creek Primitive Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Allene Everhart Gallimore of the home, a son Clifford Gallimore and wife Glenda of Denton, a daughter, Faye Greene and husband Ronald of Albemarle, brothers Ray Gallimore of Denton and Robert Gallimore of Linwood and sisters, Virgie Jackson and Jeweldean Franks both of Denton, Gladys Metters of Lexington, and Mildred Nance of Cherokee, grandchildren, David Gallimore, Jeremy Greene, Joanna Russell and Julia Greene, great grandchildren, Matthew Greene, Emma Greene and Ellie Jo Russell The family will see friends from 6:30 to 8:30 PM Saturday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence.
