Rebecca Jane Whitley

Mrs. Rebecca Jane Fann Whitley, 79, of Mt. Carmel Church Rd., Troy passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at her residence.

The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, Nov. 21 at the residence at Mt. Carmel Ch. Rd. in Troy.

A private family memorial service will follow in the upcoming days.

Mrs. Whitley was born October 10, 1939 in Forsyth County to John Fann and Ruby Aikens Fann. She retired from Capel Mills and was a member of First Wesleyan Church of Troy. She loved her family and friends. She also loved her flowers and visiting family in the mountains. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by a son, Steve Alvin Whitley; great-granddaughter, Stevie Skylar Whitley; sisters, Penny Brady and Debbie Epps.

She is survived by her husband, Alvin Whitley of the home; sons, Jeff Whitley of China and Chris Whitley of Troy; brother, David Fann of Yadkinville; 6 grandchildren, Kirstie Whitley, Josh Whitley, Megan Whitley, Dillion Whitley, Nicki Whitley, and Bren Whitley; and 3 great-grandchildren.
