Raymond Stegall

Mr. Raymond Coolidge Stegall age 89, of Farmer Rd., Denton died Thursday, September 04, 2014. Funeral service for Mr. Stegall will be 4:00 pm Monday, September 8 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Charlie Collins and Rev. Roy Franks officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park in Lexington. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00 pm Monday, prior to the service, at Briggs Funeral Home and other times at the home of the daughter Lucy on Farmer Road in Denton. Mr. Stegall was born November 12, 1924 in Harrisburg, NC to James Beech (JB) Stegall and Margaret Teck Mosely Stegall. He was a veteran of the US Army having served during WWII and receiving a Purple Heart. Mr. Stegall worked in constructing highways and was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Lexington. He is survived by his wife, Gracie Mae Jarman Stegall of the home; daughter, Lucy Beam (Billy) of Denton; son, Richard Stegall (Ginny) of Shallotte, NC; grandchildren (5), Kim Beam Stover (Evan), Victoria Elizabeth Beam, Charlie Joseph Beam, Jodie Kelly, and Ramona McKee; 5 great grandchildren. .Memorials can be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
