Raymond Grubb

Mr. Raymond Grubb age 77 of Cid Road, Lexington, NC died Tuesday, July 18 at Forsyth Regional Medical Center in Winston-Salem after a sudden illness. A funeral service will be held Sunday, July 23 at 4:00 PM. At Denton Wesleyan Church, conducted by Rev. Charlie Collins, and Rev. Charles Moses. Burial will follow at Walters Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Mr. Grubb was born December 14, 1928 in Davidson County to James Grubb and Grace Varner Grubb. He was employed for thirty-two years with Klaussner Furniture. He was a member of Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church. Mr. Grubb was married to Shirley Westmoreland Grubb. Surviving are his wife,Shirley Westmoreland Grubb of the home, a son Dale Grubb and wife Angie of Denton, daughters,Debra Jones of Thomasville and Amy Huffman and husband Robie of Lexington. Brothers Carlie Grubb of Asheville and Bobby Grubb of Trinity and sisters Mae Griffin of Lexington, Kathleen Gallimore of Denton, and Shirley Ann Alcon of Lexington.Grandchildren Julia Dail, Jeremiah Kinley, Jacob Raymond Kinley, Wesley Grubb, Brittney Grubb, Elizabeth Huffman. The family will see friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Saturday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on Cid Road.
