Mr. E. Ray Gallimore, age 84 of Gallimore Road, Denton, NC died Sunday, November 25 at his residence. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 28 at Gravel Hill Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Danny Hosler and Rev. James Draughn. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on Gallimore Road. Mr. Gallimore was born in Davidson County on December 4, 1927 to Edmund Gallimore and Lillie Beatrice Dunning Gallimore. He was a retired employee of Burlington Industries, Denton Plant and a member of Gravel Hill Baptist Church. He was married to Eddith Snider Gallimore who died March 30, 2012. He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Lorie Ann Gallimore, by a brother, Reece Gallimore and by sisters, Jessie Franks and Mildred Nance. He is survived by a daughter Donna G. Lowe and husband Sydney of Asheboro; by grandchildren Bradley Lowe and wife Anissa and Jeffrey Lowe and wife Mendi; by 3 great grandchildren; a brother Robert Gallimore of Linwood; sisters Virgie Jackson and Jeweldean Franks and husband Leo of Denton and Gladys Metters of Lexington.
