Ralph Hunt

Mr. Ralph James Hunt age 88, formerly of New Hope Rd., Denton passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Randolph Hospital. A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Greater Vision Baptist Church (9678 High Pines Ch. Rd.) conducted by Preacher Tim Cross. Interment will follow in Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 pm on Saturday prior to the service at Greater Vision Baptist Church. And other times at the home of Junior Hunt. Mr. Hunt was born November 14, 1927 in Davidson County to Emory Hunt and Sadie Manns Hunt. He was a member of Greater Vision Baptist Church and was employed with Burlington Industries for over 26 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Norma Jean Black Hunt, a brother, Roy Hunt who died in WWII, and by his second wife, Kathleen Hyde Hunt. Surviving is son, Junior D. Hunt (Brenda) of New Hope Community; brother, Raymond Hunt of Trinity, Otis Hunt of Asheboro, and Mack Hunt of Asheboro; sisters, Evelyn Hunt of Trinity, Ruth Hunt of Trinity, Ruby Preddy of Coleridge, and Brenda Gatlin of Asheboro; 3 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
