Ralph Paul Currie

Ralph Paul Currie, Jr., 88, of Currie Rd., Candor, died Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at his residence. A graveside Memorial Service will be 3:00 PM Friday, January 2, 2015 at Jackson Springs Cemetery, with Revs. Jean Ganzel and Dena White officiating. Born in Joliet, IL on October 13, 1926, he was the son of Ralph P. and Fleta Love Wilms Currie. He was a WWII Army Air Corp veteran and was a civil engineer at the White Sands Missile Range, in White Sands, NM. He was a member of Candor Presbyterian Church and was preceded in death by 2 sons, Walter Glenn Currie and Claude Charles Currie. He is survived by his wife, Donna Mae Maxwell Currie of the home; 2 sons, Jeffery Lee Currie and Keith Paul Currie; 3 daughters, Nora Jane Currie, Tina Gay Currie and Susan Beth Currie; 7 Grandchildren, Jason Currie-Olson, Dustin, Amber, Ian, and Nicolas Currie, Ty Baron Joseph Currie Buckner and Alexandra Tara Currie-Buckner. The family will receive friends at the residence on Thursday from 3-5 PM. The family requests no flowers and memorials to be made to the donor’s favorite charity in Memory of Mr. Currie. Briggs-Candor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
