Ralph Bryce Chisholm

Ralph Bryce Chisholm, 88, of Candor, died Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Autumn Care of Biscoe.  Graveside Service with Military Honors will be 11:00 AM Saturday, August 5, 2023 at the Chisholm Family Cemetery in Candor, with Rev. Steve Jarman officiating.

Born in Montgomery County on August 6, 1934, he was the son of Barnie and Lillian Blake Chisholm.  He was retired from the US Air Force as a Staff Sergeant after 20 years of service.  He served in the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany and Turkey while he served.  Ralph was a great storyteller, he loved to tell stories about his family and his travels in the military.  Those stories will live in our hearts forever.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Roy and Paul.

He is survived by a brother, Jerry Chisholm (Carole) of Candor; 4 sisters, Fran Laws (Junior) of High Point, Louise Reese (John) of Cumming, GA, Joyce Ellis of Pleasant Garden, and Janie Cockman (DA) of Greensboro; several nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

The family will receive friends after the graveside service in the fellowship hall at Candor Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Candor Baptist Church, PO Box 614, Candor NC  27229 or to FirstHealth Hospice and Palliative Care, 251 Campground Rd., West End NC  27376.
