Rachel Brower Parrish

Rachel Brower Parrish, 93, formerly of Old HWY 109, Lexington, NC passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at Mountain Vista Health Park.

A private graveside service will be held on Friday at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.

Rachel was born on February 13, 1931, in Randolph County to W.R. Brower and Virgie Walker Brower. She was of the Methodist faith and worked in the textile industry for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Ray Parrish, a son, Dallas Ray Parrish; a grandson, Mike Parrish; a son-in-law, David Curry; and by 2 brothers and 1 sister.

She is survived by son, Larry Parrish and wife Brenda of Denton; daughters, Sandra Curry and Vickie Hunt and husband Randell all of Lexington; grandchildren, Dana Anderson, Tavis Curry, Summer Curry, Ryan Curry, Tracey Smith, Chris Parrish, Ian Hunt, and Seth Hunt; great-grandchildren, Zoe Anderson, Brody Anderson, Brynn Anderson, Theo Curry, Eliza Curry, Kristen Payne, Lauren Smith, and Regan Parrish; and great-great-grandchildren, Tatum Hill, Salen Payne, and Fynlee Payne..

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
