Rachel Kellis

Mrs. Rachel Lewis Kellis, age 80 of East Randolph Street, Candor, NC died Friday, January 4 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, January 7 at Candor Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Junior Medlin and Rev. William Turnmire. Burial will follow in the Candor Town Cemetery. Mrs. Kellis was born June 1, 1927 in Davidson County to Sam Lewis and Barbara Batten Lewis. She was a homemaker and last worked at Samarkand Manor. She was a member of Candor Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Roger Kellis of the home, daughters, Cindy Kellis of Charlotte and Nancy Ott and husband Frank of LaGrange, Ky. Also a sister Flora Mae Jackson of Biscoe. The family will see friends from 3:00 to 4:30 PM Sunday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home in Candor and other times at the residence.
