Polly Cranford Cole

Mrs. Dorothy “Polly” Cranford Cole, age 90, of Denton died Friday, April 11 at her home.   Funeral service for Mrs. Cole will be 3:00 pm Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Vern Peterson officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memorial Gardens.   The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 Sunday, prior to the service.   Mrs. Cole was born December 30, 1923 in Mecklenburg County to Pleasant and Eula Mae Mullinix Cranford. She was a registered nurse and a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband James Hoyle Cole on September 1, 1999.   Mrs. Cole is survived by two sons, Robert H. “Bobby” Cole of Denton and James David Cole of Burlington, one brother Seth Cranford of Fort Mill, South Carolina and one grandchild.   Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P.
