Phyllis Dudley Shackleford

Phyllis Jo Dudley Shackleford, 79, of S. Main St. Ext., Denton, NC passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at her residence.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 29, at Clear Springs United Methodist Church with Rev. Amy Higgins, Rev. Scott Davis, and Rev. Sandy Young officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery.

Phyllis was born February 5, 1944, in Columbus County, NC to Fred Dudley and Dorothy Beulah Barnes Dudley. She worked for Councill Craftsman Furniture as a final inspector and was a member of Clear Springs United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Dudley.

She is survived by sons, Terry Shackleford (Janet) of Winston Salem and Jodie Shackleford of Denton; brother, Ralph Dudley (Ann) of Ga; sister, Gayle Chaffin (Howard) of Lexington; 4 grandchildren, Christy Hiatt, Aaron Burkholder, Issac Shackleford, and Jana Rae Shackleford; 8 great-grandchildren, Lailyn, Kaitlyn, Sianna, and Isabelle Hiatt, Blair and Norah Burkholder, Riley, and Natalie Shackleford.
