Phyllis Runyon

Mrs. Phyllis Jean Hatfield Runyon, age 77 of Farmer-Denton Road, Denton, NC died Thursday, November 5 at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 7 at Hatfield Family Cemetery on Upper Blackberry Road, Ransom, Kentucky. Mrs. Runyon was born October 31, 1938 in Pike County Kentucky to Phillip Hatfield and Octavia Smith Hatfield. She had worked as a supervisor in the Knitting Industry. She was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother Tom Hatfield and a sister Wanda Hatfield. She is survived by her husband, Douglas M Runyon of the home; daughters Wendy Runyon and companion Rodger Herrell of Denton and Susan Kennedy and husband Dale of Asheboro; brothers Stirl Hatfield of Ransom, Ky and Jody Hatfield of Archdale; sisters, Lynda H Runyon of Southport and Vickie H Sykes of Trinity; granddaughter Meagan O Kennedy of Asheboro and several Nieces and Nephews. Briggs Funeral Home of Denton is serving the family.
