Phyllis Garska

Ms. Phyllis Jandebuer Garska, 86, of N. Cardinal Dr., New London passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Ambassador Health and Rehab in Wadesboro. A celebration of life service will be held 3:00 pm Wednesday, Sept. 6 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton. Ms. Garska was born November 19, 1930 in Alma, Nebraska. She was a member of the Disciple of Christ Church and had worked as a legal secretary, a music teacher, a sales associate, and a security guard. Surviving is; daughters, Rebecca Sue Garska Rorie of Mt. Gilead and Lisa Jacqueline Garska Norwood of Monroe; son, Michael DeJean Garska of Montgomery County; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
