Phyliss Doreen Hall, 88, of River Rd., Mt. Gilead, died Monday, October 19, 2026 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord. Graveside Service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, October 24, 2026 at Flint Hill Christian Church, 17907 NC Hwy 24, Biscoe NC 27209.

Born in Giles County, VA on August 16, 1938, she was the daughter of Bessie Lois Lucas and Cecil Shortt. She worked as a Laboratory Technician for a pathologist. She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Hall, Jr., daughter, Julie Broughton, brother, Pete, and a grandson, Joey Gross.

Mrs. Hall is survived by her son, John David Hall (Beth) of Mt. Gilead; 2 daughters, Donna Gordon (Kirk) of Wilmington and Mary Williams (Rick) of Salisbury; son-in-law, James Broughton; 9 grandchildren, Scott Williams (Tristy), Taylor Overcash (Gene), Alex Gordon (Alicen), Lars Gordon (Janie), Dakota Davis, Sean Gross (Taryn), Robbie Broughton (Alicia), Alex Broughton (Sabrina) and Alexis Steffy (Cody); 8 great-grandchildren, Riley, Wyatt, Darcy, Tiffany, Maci, Alivia, Mallorie, and Joseph.
