Phillip Yates

    Mr. E. Phillip Yates, age 56 of Jim Rogers Road, Denton, NC died Monday, January 22.   A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, January 25 at Lick Creek Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Steve Kiger. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.   The family will see friends from 1:00 until 2:30 PM Thursday at Lick Creek Baptist Church.   Mr. Yates was born October 15, 1961 to Hoyle Yates and Hilda Click Yates. He was a self-employed saw mill operator and logger. He was preceded in death by his parents.   He is survived by his son, Travis Yates and wife Sarah of Trinity; brothers, Curtis Yates and wife Beckie and Bill Yates and wife Gay all of Denton; grandchild, Avery Yates.   Online condolences may be made at www.briggsfuneralhome.com
