Peggy Goins Britt

Peggy Goins Britt, 84, of Currie Mill Rd., Jackson Springs, entered into heaven on Monday at her residence. Funeral Service will be 2 PM Thursday at Community Baptist Church, with Rev. Don Winch and Rev. Otis Goins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Born in Richmond County on April 26, 1932, she was the daughter of Vance and Essie King Goins. She was a homemaker and preceded in death by 2 daughters, Judy Freeman and Diane Lowe. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Joe Britt of the home; 2 sons, Bobby and Danny Britt, both of Jackson Springs; 4 daughters, JoAnn King of Charlotte, Polly Mabe of Derby, Kellie Dunn of Jackson Springs, and Joy Garner of Carthage; sister, Cootie Smith of Candor; 17 Grandchildren; 19 Great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home and other times at the residence on Currie Mill Rd., Jackson Springs.
