Mrs. Pearl Cook Miller, age 81, a resident of Cook Rd. Denton passed away on Tuesday, March 03, 2020.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 7 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Gerald Miller, Rev. Richard Gould, Rev. Derald Smith and Rev. Chris Smith. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
The family will see friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday at Briggs Funeral Home.
Mrs. Miller was born July 1, 1938 in Davidson County to Fred Cook and Garnett Luther Cook. She was a lifelong member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Women. She was a graduate of Ashmore Business College and retired after serving many years as the Secretary of Denton High School and South Davidson High School. She was a member of the Retired County Secretarial Group and was a member of the Home Demonstration Club.
She is survived by her husband Wayne Miller of Denton, sons, Tim Miller and wife Karen, Rev. Gerald Miller and wife Vicky, and Mark Miller all of Denton; brother Ralph Cook and wife Betty of Lexington; grandchildren, Shanna Stanley and husband Jason, Gera Wilkins and husband Jacob, Ryana Miller, Sarah Miller, Faith Miller, Gerald Miller, Jr, Mary Miller, Landry Miller and wife Mariah, Laramie Miller and Fiancé Trent Shore; great grandchildren, Emryn, Rylan, Madison, Kaitlyn, Landon, Jackson, Kaylee and Jared.
