Pearl Maines

Pearl Miller Maines, 84, of Hannersville Rd. Lexington, died Sunday, May 25, 2008 at Hospice Home of High Point. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Randolph County conducted by Rev. Karen Smith. Mrs. Maines was born May 20, 1924 in Randolph County to Ed and Ida Gordon Miller. She spent most of her life in Davidson County where she went to school. She married Dean Maines on Dec. 1, 1956. She was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. She had worked in the textile industry before retiring due to declining health. She liked to read and loved flowers. She was preceded in death by a brother, John H. Miller on Dec. 31, 1987. Survivors include, husband, Dean Maines of the home, son, Tim Maines of the home, other survivors include nieces and nephews. The family will see friends on Monday from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on Hannersville Rd.
