Mrs. Pearl Hunt Loflin 79, of Mountain Vista Health Park and formerly of South Main St., Denton died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007 at the Health Park. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Steve McLain and Rev. Steve Chipps officating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Loflin was born Jan. 9, 1927 in Randolph County to Bert A. and Addie Brookshire Hunt. She was a homemaker and an active member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Dalton Loflin who died Oct. 4, 1994 and a son Kenneth Loflin who died Feb. 25, 1996. Mrs. Loflin is survived by sons, Dale A. Loflin and wife Martha of Denton and Dewey D. Loflin and wife Linda of Thomasville, sister Ruth Griffin of Ft. Worth, TX, Grandchildren, Cary Allen Loflin, Teresa Lynn Loflin, Shannon D. Loflin, and Crystal Davis, Great Grandchildren Hannah and Leah Davis The family will see friends Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on South Main St. Ext.
