Pearl Garner

Mrs. Pearl Hancock Garner 92, of Mountain Vista Health Park and formerly of Yates Rd., Denton died Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at the Health Park. Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, September 9, 2006 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel Conducted by Rev. Lacy Cagle. Burial will follow at Summerville Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Garner was born June 2, 1914 in Davidson County to Lyndo and Alice Rodena Workman Hancock. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Garner was preceded in death by her husband James Fred Garner. She was also preceded in death by sons, Bobby Garner and Willie Lester Garner and a daughter Jacquline G. Tysinger. Survivors include daughters Clara Honeycutt, Barbara Wylie, Mary Garner, and Wilma Gammons all of Denton and Hazel Yates of Lexington. 11 Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren 24, Great Great Grandchildren 14, and a sister Ruth Gordon of Thomasville. The family will see friends Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton, Other times at 1580 Tysinger Rd., Denton.
