Pearl Fry

Pearl Simmons Fry, age 93 of New Hope Community, Denton died Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday at New Hope United Methodist Church. The family will see friends on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton. Mrs. Fry was born July 12, 1918 in Montgomery County to Raleigh Rufus Simmons and Minnie Jeanette Hughes Simmons. She was a homemaker and a farmer and was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church. She was married to G. Russell Fry who died December 9, 1977. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister Margaret Hurley and brothers, Everret, Doc, Marvin, Vernon and Ernest. She is survived by a daughter, Judy Fry Chriscoe and husband James of New Hope Community, and a grandson, Kent Chriscoe and wife Tricia of New Hope.
