Pauline Blake McCormick, 83, of Pekin Rd., died Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Autumn Care in Biscoe. Graveside Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Blackwood Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Junior Medlin and Mr. Dale Whittington officiating.Mrs. McCormick was born May 28, 1930 in Montgomery County, the daughter of Herbert and Opal Frick Blake. She was a lifelong member of Blackwood Chapel Baptist Church and a retired seamstress with Lancer Furniture. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill McCormick in 2006 and by 3 brothers, James, Frank and Junior Blake and a sister, Betty Earnest.She is survived by her son, Billy McCormick (Donna) of Mt. Gilead; daughter, Judy McCormick Haithcock (Randy) of Mt. Gilead; 2 brothers, Alvin Blake of Rockingham and Kenneth Blake of Troy; 4 sisters, Gathy Poole of Norwood, Carol Wright of Asheboro, Linda Lemanski of Mauldin, SC and Ann Sasser of Candor; 5 Grandchildren, Justin (Tiffany), Cynthia, Bianca, Jared and Cheyanna.The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home and other times at the residence of Billy and Donna McCormick, Pekin Rd., Mt. Gilead.
