Pauline Hill Hoover

Mrs. Pauline Hill Hoover, age 90, of Denton died Tuesday, October 6 at Randolph Health and Rehabilitation in Asheboro. Funeral service for Mrs. Hoover will be 3:00 pm Friday, October 9 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jay Hulin and Rev. Wayne Knight officiating. Burial will follow in Piney Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Hoover was born November 19, 1918 in Davidson County to James and Allie Grubb Hill. She was a homemaker and attended Gospel Way Church. She was married to Paul D. Hoover who died October 22, 2005. Mrs. Hoover is survived by one son, Donald Hoover and one daughter, Linda Lackey and husband Charles all of Denton, two sisters, Bertha Hoover of Denton and Vellie Hill of Lexington, three grandchildren, Kendra Jordan and husband Rodney, Chad Lackey and wife Briana, and Wendi Lackey, and two great-grandchildren, Alexis Lackey and Gage Lackey. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the home of Charles and Linda Lackey on Jackson Creek Rd., Denton.
